This November, award-winning Salt & Pepper Productions returns to The Grange Theatre with one of musical theatre’s most breathtaking and powerful productions – Titanic The Musical.
Step aboard the RMS Titanic in April 1912 and meet the people who boarded the most famous ship in history, each carrying their own hopes, dreams and reasons for making the journey to America.
From third-class passengers dreaming of a new life, to those in second class aspiring to greater things, to the wealth and privilege of first class. Alongside them are the officers, stewards, stokers, engineers and crew – the people who made this extraordinary ship come alive.
At the heart of it all is Maury Yeston’s magnificent, Tony Award-winning score. Sweeping, soaring and incredibly moving, the music captures the excitement and optimism of the maiden voyage, the wonder of this seemingly unsinkable ship and the hopes of those aboard, before building towards the events we all know are coming.
And Salt & Pepper are going BIG.
A magnificent 16-piece live orchestra will bring Yeston’s incredible score to life, alongside beautiful period costumes and an ambitious set that will transform The Grange Theatre into the Ship of Dreams. From the moment you enter, we want you to feel as though you are stepping aboard Titanic and travelling with her passengers on that fateful maiden voyage.
There’s humour, romance, ambition, love, friendship, fear and extraordinary courage. Above all, there are human stories – stories that make you forget, just for a moment, that you already know how this journey ends.
And just to clear up one little thing… this isn’t the film. There’s no Jack & Rose, but we promise, your heart will most certainly go on.
